Andre Wisdom

A key member of the England team that won the European U17 Championship in the summer of 2010, Andre Wisdom scored at both ends as his country landed their first ever success at that level with a 2-1 win over Spain. A strong, robust full-back, who can also operate in the centre of midfield, he made his England U19 debut this season (2011-12) and ended up with the captain’s armband when Liverpool colleague Jonjo Shelvey left the field. He was also a regular in the England U16 side that won the 2008 Victory Shield. Leeds-born, the youngster has been a strong presence in the Reds’ U18 side for the past two years and was in the the team that reached the 2009 FA Youth Cup final.
